I am excited to share with you an update about how the Lord has led us as a family and share an opportunity in medical missions. As you likely know, the Lord called me to pursue PA school for the sake of missions and ministry, and in August 2024 I graduated from school and took my boards. Kassidy stopped working at the end of October, and in November we welcomed a second son, Rex, into our family. He’s such a joy!
Also in October, I started working in a Christian pediatrics clinic, which has already enabled many opportunities for ministry. Many of my coworkers and I are involved in a medical ministry called Medical Campus Outreach, and this May we have the chance to go on a medical missions trip to South Africa.
Specifically, this trip will involve serving at two schools: Shayandima School of Tomorrow, and Tshilidzini Special School which serves blind, deaf, and physically handicapped students. More about the two schools:
The trip will last from May 1-11 and includes medical clinics as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy. We are bringing medical students, PA students, NP students, and OT/PT students along.
I’m writing to ask for your prayers and to invite you to partner with me through financial support, if you are so called. Our goal is to raise $3,000 per person, which covers airfare, housing and food, transportation in country, medicines, eyeglasses, supplies for clinic, travel insurance, and a safari outing while there.
